I met with the client for this beautiful project towards the end of 2017.  He wanted to create a contemporary Nigerian cuisine experience - the setting to showcase the ambiance and best of Nigerian Culture

Aji off course was also interested in using our beautiful natural Clay-works clay plasters for the interior walls and ceilings to represent the rich heritage of open wood cooking - the oldest method of cooking known.  Shown here is a beautiful rustic clay plaster to represent the smokey ambers and glowing red ames.  The rest of the interior will have a more contemporary feel - in keeping with the theme

Introducing Aji to Jack from Farm Visuals came next - and together they could develop the brief and design the Architecture Concept for what will be a truly unique restaurant and dining experience in London

I am super impressed by how lifelike these visualisations are looking and even more excited to see this project come off the ground

THE CUBE BAR SAIGON

These stunning renders are by VrayWorld
Anything I'd give today to sit in that patio and sip a cool cocktail while I'm waiting for my lunch to arrive....  This bar does actually exist and can be found in Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by fresh house

I could easily imagine that long bar as a kitchen counter in my dream home someday....
Lets keep dreaming, cause dreams sometimes to tend to come true!  But in that being said, its not about sitting around dreaming wild and weird and wonderful dreams - its about getting up, and showing up, and doing the work that will allow our dreams to come true.  I'm very aware of that... but by having an imagination, we can utilize that to help manifest our dreams into our reality, little by little day by day....

Today I am very excited to share with you these beautiful images of a recently completed project by Clayworks natural clay plaster finishes.  But more excitingly so, because this is a new client I'll be representing - and hopefully manage to promote and bring lots more interesting and beautiful projects to their portfolio.  And what a beautiful day to be starting - its not even 8 am and I'm already on the go, all set up with my little desk in the garden - wish me luck peeps!

So a bit more on this project:  Clayworks specialises in natural clay plater finishes, however they are also at the forefront of developing interesting new products and finishes within their clay plaster ranges.  They have also been short listed for the Small Business of the year award.... fingers crossed Clayworks, for some good news today!

For this particular project they used one of their new polished concrete effect tonal finishes - and the results are beautiful and luxurious, sophisticated and contemporary but still has that beautiful natural warmth and feel.  The interior design of the space is by Focus Design - an expert, fast track architectural design agency specialised in bar, restaurant and hotel design - working with companies to develop successful, creative spaces

Our clay plaster finishes also have a host of performance and environmental benefits, to list a few:
*  Colour and performance consistent
*  Breathable and anti-static
*  Temperature and humidity regulating
*  Durable and non-flammable
*  Very low embodied carbon and embodied energy
*  100% natural - nontoxic, zero VOC emissions and and no synthetic additives
*  Recyclable reusable or 100% compostable
And there is more yet - which I'll share in these coming weeks

Perhaps you have a project you'd like to discuss or you'd like some more information -please feel free to contact me here or visit Clayworks here
