2015 MOON PHASES CALENDAR

These beautiful and original moon phase calendars by A Little Lark are available on Etsy

This is what they say ....
"Simple, scientific, modern and beautiful. Make a statement in your house with this gorgeous art print!

Make year 2015 a year were you keep track of full and new moons, plus also know the day of the week. These large wall calendars are hand printed on sturdy 22" x 30" Stonehenge paper. Paper is machine-made in the USA of 100% cotton neutral pH two natural deckles and two cut edges. Print looks great both pinned up or framed. There is a 1.75" border around printed area, so paper can be cut down to desired size if needed. Each piece is signed on lower right in pencil by the artist, Christy Nyboer.

* We designed this poster so you can cut the lower half off after the year is through and enjoy the upper square portion as a stunning print of the moon."

I'm torn between the gold on black or the copper on black - which do you like most?

BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR RENDERS by RAYA TODOROVA

Easing into Sunday evening, with a bit of pinning, a bit of blogging and a bit of sketching.  A perfect way to end a gloriously relaxing weekend.  Oh and a bit of apple crumble pie baking was in order too...

Some truly realistic and absolutely beautiful renders created by Raya Todorova, from Bulgaria.   Lightness and soft hues, some contrasting greys,  great art -  If I could choose to live in any rendered space, this one will probably be top of my list!

ONICO BEAUTY SALON BY RYO ISOBE

This is 'Onico', a forest-like beauty salon in Osaka, designed by Japanese architect Ryo Isobe. The architect imagined the space as a magical woodland filled with antique objects and other curiosities, including a stuffed owl.

I found these images on Dezeen while writing my Cool Copper Love blog post last week - and I just loved how original this was compared to more traditional Spa and Beauty salon's.  I love the scattering of birch trees that are wedged between the floor and ceiling.   And I can imagine this to be a real 'experience' and more than just a visit to a beauty salon.

"Our client likes DIY and he makes many objects and furniture by himself," said Isobe. "So we made the space as if it is a treasure hunt in the woods."

Birch trees are dotted around the space, amongst a styling area containing assorted chairs and mirrors. A mixture of lanterns, chandeliers and bare light bulbs are suspended from the ceiling, while fairy lights are strung up beside a cluster of artificial ivy in the room behind.

Other details include a decorative balustrade, empty picture frames and a golden dresser.

Did you spot that amazing concrete finish on the walls?

COOL COPPER LOVE

Wow... my Mac is now really slow... really really slow... I know and have known for a while that I will need to upgrade, and I guess I will need to look at this sooner rather than later, because what should have been a quick post all about 'Copper Love' and the latest trend of using copper and brass in interiors - has turned into almost an hour long struggle with not only a slow and unresponsive Mac, but also my gmail account keeps telling me I've signed in from another location.... Spooky...  I have now changed my password twice and every time I'm trying to log in I'm told it's the wrong password...

Anyhow, I'm here and logged in (for now) and think I need to get this done with before the morning is over!  Sorry for the uninformative post... but hopefully these images will inspire.  I think I'll be revisiting Cool Copper Love again soon, with a bit more flesh to the bone!

I have found some wonderfully inspiring copper and brass images from some wonderfully inspiring blogs and websites which you may find inspiring as well.
