This is the beautiful Helsinki home of Tanja Jänicke and her carpenter husband. They have turned a 130 square meter apartment in the heart of Helsinki into a modern, bright and airy space - the high ceilings and original windows allowing lots of natural light, and the fresh white interiors almost reflect a certain tranquility into the space.
They have added some wonderfully unique pieces into the mix, a large solid wood dining room table (Tanja's design if I am not mistaken) for entertaining family and friends, and an open fireplace sets the mood for cozy evenings around the dinner table, with the fire gently crackling away.
Even though I love pretty much everything about the interiors and design of this home - the bedroom and those 2 comfy white chairs most certainly get a 10 out of 10 from me!
I love the art against the kitchen wall - and subtle bits of color throughout gently warms this beautiful and natural palette.
