COOL COPPER LOVE

Wow... my Mac is now really slow... really really slow... I know and have known for a while that I will need to upgrade, and I guess I will need to look at this sooner rather than later, because what should have been a quick post all about 'Copper Love' and the latest trend of using copper and brass in interiors - has turned into almost an hour long struggle with not only a slow and unresponsive Mac, but also my gmail account keeps telling me I've signed in from another location.... Spooky...  I have now changed my password twice and every time I'm trying to log in I'm told it's the wrong password...

Anyhow, I'm here and logged in (for now) and think I need to get this done with before the morning is over!  Sorry for the uninformative post... but hopefully these images will inspire.  I think I'll be revisiting Cool Copper Love again soon, with a bit more flesh to the bone!

I have found some wonderfully inspiring copper and brass images from some wonderfully inspiring blogs and websites which you may find inspiring as well.

MARIE OLSSON NYLANDER LIVES HERE

Today's beautiful home is by far the brightest and boldest and I may as well add, *most eclectic interior post* I have written thus far.... so dø enjoy!

This is the home of Swedish interior designer, Marie Olsson Nylander - what was a formerly shabby 1970's villa - has since had a fast transformation under the talented hand of Marie and her husband.  They decided to open up the entire lower floor, and create an open plan living space.

I love the exposed white washed beams, that front door, the rustic spiral staircase and the bright and bold colours, especially the blues... does really make one wish that spring will arrive in London soon!

HOLIDAY BLUES...

After a most wonderful and special 3 weeks with my family it's now back to life, back to London and back to reality...  And wow how quickly one's reality can change!

Some hard work ahead - and as for the work front some serious changes have happened in the past week.  Excited to see what's in store for me next.  And to anyone else out there with some uncertainties or challenges for the coming weeks... I hope the below quote will be just as inspiring to you as it has been to me.

Have a wonderful rest of week-end!

CAPE TOWN AHOY

Today I am boarding a flight to Cape Town for some much needed sun and sea and sand.
I am most of all looking forward to seeing my parents, and spending some quality time with them and some new additions to the family.
And catching up with some friends along the way.

I'll be back after Easter,  well rested and ready with some fresh new ideas to blog about.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you here again soon

JACQUELINE MORABITO'S HOME IN SAINT PAUL DE VENCE BY YVES BAYARD

This is the beautiful home of interior designer Jacqueline Morabito - minimalistic and almost monastic in mostly whites and woods and natural subtle tones;   her late architect husband, Yves Bayard has beautifully redesigned this 16th century sheep barn into an invitingly calm and inspiring home.

NEW NORM AT HOST

I should really be keeping busy with all my admin so I can file my tax return before the deadline this coming Thursday...

But it's far more enjoyable reading some new inspiring blogs and finding some new inspiring images to blog about.  At the same time it's like a big dark cloud hanging over my subconscious mind, and I guess the sooner I get it done the better...  So one last post - and the only way I know I will really do it, is to promise myself I won't do another blog post until my return is filed.  There... I've said it, now I need to stick to my word and just do it.  I will feel so much lighter, and I can start planning *out and aboutings* again as well as my next big holiday home to South Africa.

Today I found a wonderful new blog called Wisuella - its this image I saw on Pinterest that led me to her blog, and I'm so happy now that I clicked that link.  On her blog I saw these images of New Norm Dinnerware ... so I went to their website, and I quote...
"When midsummer’s blue skies transform to the grey depths of autumn … When the dense forest tranquility opens harmoniously on to the fresh and rolling sea … When the changing light, landscape and seasons are both an essential part of life and a source of eternal joy … Then you are in Scandinavia."

Designed by my favorite Scandinavian Architect Duo - Norm and produced by Menu - New Norm has found a happy home at the a new Copenhagen restaurant called Host.  And a more suited match could not be found.  The food beautifully complement the dinnerware, and the dinnerware emphasize the deliciously presented food.  Inspiration for both are found in nature, from the changing of the Nordic seasons to the beautiful landscapes all around.

Here's a few more of my favorite images via New Norm
